Lt. Gen. Hasan Turkmani (Arabic: حسن تركماني‎; born in Aleppo, January 1, 1935) is the former Syrian minister of defense.[1] Hasan Turkmani joined the Syrian Army in 1954. He was replaced in June 2009 by the former army chief Ali Habib Mahmud.[2]
